Manufacturing that began with custom-made products

Before starting Orinuva, I spent many years creating custom headwear.

Every day, we carefully craft accessories to mark life's milestones, such as coming-of-age ceremonies, weddings, and graduation ceremonies, taking into account the thoughts of each individual.

In the process, I have come to feel the true essence of craftsmanship anew when customers say things like, "I want to wear a memorable item," and "I want to choose something that I'm particular about and that matches the atmosphere of my kimono or dress."

My encounters with craftspeople were also a major turning point for me.

One of the reasons we decided to start Orinuva was to learn about the traditional techniques and wonderful artisanal craftsmanship that remain in various parts of Japan, and to create accessories that would connect them to the present and future.

Orinuva's hair accessories incorporate traditional Japanese craftsmanship and materials from various countries around the world.

The delicate weaving of Iga braids, the three-dimensional look created by Arimatsu shibori techniques, the soft glow of vintage pearls that are no longer produced in modern times, etc.

Materials that have been loved throughout the ages are reborn in new forms as hair accessories.

And over the years of creating head dresses, through conversations with hair and makeup artists, I have come to pay attention to the details of the designs.
